Liquor store offers free delivery ahead of Super Bowl Sunday

LINCOLN, Neb. — Ahead of one of its busiest days of the year – Super Bowl Sunday – Moran’s Liquor Works hopes its delivery app will make preparations even easier on its customers.  

Travis Bahm, Moran’s Liquor Works c0-owner, said the business has been working to perfect the app, which launched a few weeks after last year’s Super Bowl.  

“It was a lot of work to launch in such turbulent times when COVID had just started, but there was immediately a lot of demand for it,” he said. “Feedback from our customers has been great.”  

​The app shows what beer, wine, liquor and mixers the store has in stock. Customers simply select what they want and check out. 

​“I’ve been to a couple other cities that have [delivery apps] like Kansas City, and it was really handy,” a customer said. “It’s good to have it here in Lincoln.”​

Moran’s makes deliveries citywide, with delivery fees ranging from $6 to $10 and a minimum order depending on proximity from the store. However, Moran’s will offer free delivery during Super Bowl weekend (Feb. 5-7).
 
Deliveries can typically be scheduled between noon and 8 p.m. and are made the same day in as little as 60 minutes.  

The same rules apply if customers were to make their purchases in the store – they must present proper ID upon delivery, either at the door or through the window. 

“We follow all the normal steps we follow if you were to come in and shop here,” Bahm said. 
Moran’s also offers curbside delivery through the app during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays).
